You light up my world like nobody else !!
Hey dearies,
I'm back with another card :) This is more of up-cycling project. While making the heart on a string cards I inked the white cardstock pretty badly and didn't want to throw it. Then this card idea came along and the white cardstock got used :) I had this song by One Direction lingering on my mind for long (check out the below youtube link). I just love the line "Baby you light up my world like nobody else" and so wanted to make a card using this as a sentiment.
But then how to decorate it with light was the next thought. Then it struck me, "why not use rhinestones?" I saw rhinestones being used as Christmas lights somewhere may be on a craft blog or an online store and I'm glad it stayed in my mind :) I first traced the light string on the card and then inked it with Studio G hot pink ink using a small cotton ball to create the light effect, then pasted twine for the cord and lastly stuck the rhinestones. This is how the card came out:
Although it looked beautiful the empty space left so much to be desired. So I added two little hearts on the sentiment. Ohh I forgot, the sentiment is a print-out not a stamp. The hearts are hand cut and then pixie-dusted using pie-lane glitter. I also added a glitter ball in "light" and "world". I loved the way the card turned out, beautiful !! I'm sending it for the following challenges:
Virginia's View Challenge at Lily Pad Cards
ICR Challenge 14.
Unstamped Belles Challenge 7
Make it Monday#73
Hope you'll like it as well !!
Smiles :)
